Our Lemax Christmas village display for 2026 is now complete at Southwood Garden Centre in Cottingham, near Hull — and this year it is bigger than ever.
For many people, seeing a large Lemax display in person is part of the build-up to Christmas. The moving rides, tiny illuminated buildings, snowy mountain scenes and hundreds of little details are difficult to appreciate fully from photographs alone. That is why we have made our 2026 display our most ambitious yet, bringing together exciting new Lemax releases with plenty of old favourites.
If you are looking for a Lemax display in East Yorkshire, a Lemax stockist near Hull, or simply want some inspiration for your own Christmas village, you can visit the display in our garden centre throughout the Christmas season.
Our biggest Lemax Christmas village display yet
We have built the 2026 display to feel like a complete miniature Christmas world rather than a row of individual buildings. Different areas flow into one another, with movement, lighting and height helping to make the whole village feel alive.
One of the standout features this year is the ski lift running through the snowy mountain section. It adds another level to the display and works brilliantly with the winter village scenes below. Around it you will find illuminated houses, figures, snowy details and plenty of little scenes to spot as you walk around the display.
The display also includes many of the pieces customers love coming back to see each year, including our animated fairground rides. These are always some of the most eye-catching parts of a Lemax display, especially when the lights, music and movement are all running together.

New Lemax 2026 pieces on display
Every year Lemax introduces new buildings, animated attractions and accessories, and we have included a number of the new Lemax 2026 releases in this year's village.
Dasher's Bumper Boats
One of our favourites is Lemax Dasher's Bumper Boats. With lights, sound and movement, it is exactly the sort of piece that becomes a focal point in a larger Christmas village. It is fun, colourful and full of detail, and it looks particularly good when you can see it operating as part of a complete display.

Santa's Hot Springs Oasis
Another new piece well worth looking out for is Lemax Santa's Hot Springs Oasis. This is another animated 2026 release featuring lights, sound and motion, and it brings plenty of character to the village. It is one of those pieces where there is much more to notice when you stop and watch it for a little while.
There are plenty of other new additions mixed through the display too, so even if you visited our Lemax village last Christmas there is lots that is different for 2026.

Old favourites and classic Lemax fairground pieces
While the new releases are always exciting, a big part of the appeal of Lemax is building a collection over time. That is why our display mixes the latest 2026 pieces with older favourites that customers recognise from previous years.
The fairground area remains one of the most popular parts of the display. Animated rides, bright lights and music create a completely different feel from the quieter snowy village scenes, and combining the two is a great way to add variety to a larger layout.
If you are planning your own Lemax village, seeing different generations of pieces together can also be useful. You do not need to replace older favourites when new designs arrive — the best displays often grow year after year, with new pieces added around the ones you already love.
Why visit a Lemax display in person?
Lemax pieces are designed to be seen working. Product photographs are useful, but they cannot fully show the movement, changing lights, sounds and scale of an animated village.
Visiting a display is also a great way to pick up ideas for your own layout. You can see how different heights work together, how roads and pathways help connect buildings, where figures can be positioned to create little scenes, and how lighting changes the atmosphere of the whole village.
It can be particularly helpful if you are starting your first Christmas village and are unsure how many pieces you need. A display shows that you can mix larger statement attractions with smaller houses, figures, trees and accessories rather than filling every space with large buildings.
